How it all started...

Asumi Matcha began with two friends, Merel and Cecile, who met over a cup of matcha and could not stop thinking about it. They travelled to Japan to learn how real matcha is grown and prepared, and came home determined to bring that same calm, high-quality ritual to Europe.

We source our matcha directly from the Uji region, one of the most respected growing areas in Japan. The leaves are shade-grown for natural sweetness, hand-picked at the first spring harvest, and stone-ground slowly into a fine, vibrant powder.

Every batch is lab tested in Europe for purity and quality, then sealed fresh so it reaches you exactly as it should: smooth, rich, and never bitter. That is the whole idea behind Asumi. Good matcha, made simple, for your everyday ritual.
